Abstract
A cutting from a single leaf, containing on the recto, the calligraphic initial letter "H" surrounded by fanciful borders of foliage, animals and human figures; on the verso, the words "[Tu lume]n tu splend[or Patris]" from the hymn Christe, redemptor omnium sung at vespers around Christmas.
The initial letter is in brush and pen and brown ink. The hymn is written in a large gothic rotunda hand, with music on a 4-line staff. Probably north Italian. MS Typ 1009.
