Written in a compressed textualis semi-quadrata in 1 column of 18 lines; 12 large miniatures, numerous foliate decorated initials and inhabited borders, and secondary initials in burnished gold and blue with pen flourishes.
The calendar is for an English church (Wulstan of Sherborne, Richard of Chichester, Dunstan of Canterbury, Swithin of Winchester, Winefride of Anglia, feast and translation of Erkenwald (bishop of London and patron saint of Southend-on-Sea, among other places), and feast of Erasmus.
Bound in 19th-cent. red velvet with two silver clasps.
