Written in a gothic bookhand, ruled for 16 lines, calendar for 17 lines, with feasts in gold and alternating in blue and red. Two full-page illuminations, including a 16th-cent. addition, illustrating a noble lady presented to the Virgin and Child by St. Bernard (f. 2r), 8 large and 14 small miniatures attributed to the Master of the Burgundian Prelates, with decorated initials, and foliate and historiated borders throughout.
Includes a full-page colored drawing representing the owner's (Bitault family?) genealogy by means of a tree with coats-of arms hanging along the branches (f. 131v).
Bound in19th-cent. black morocco with silver clasps.
