Title from f. 1r, added in a contemporary hand.
Written in Italy, most likely in Ferrara, in an upright humanist bookhand by two scribes, with contemporary glosses and corrections; one white vinestem initial (f. 1r).
After dedicatory preface to the University of Ferrara and prologue, the text begins: "Prima species ludi. Circa primam ludi speciem cuius finis est .... "
In a 19th- or 20th-cent. green morocco binding by Zaehnsdorf of London.
In a tray case, 18 cm.
