.21 linear feet (1/2 file box)The culinary collection of Nadine Lindzen consists largely of typed, printed, and handwritten menus (some cut into hand-decorated shapes) in French on the occasion of baptisms, First Communions, marriages, and other events, of a variety of people, many from the Hoguet family. Locations are rarely given. Also included is one First Communion photograph from 1912; two 1918 safe conduct passes issued to Claire Eugénie Lacam, possibly the wife of Pierre Lacam who was a renowned pastry chef and bibliophile; and a handwritten volume of culinary-themed poetry transcribed from various sources (probably formerly in the possession of the Lacams).
BIOGRAPHY
Nadine Lindzen lives in Newton, Massachusetts, with her husband, Richard. During frequent trips to France, she purchases culinary-themed items at flea markets.
