Most entries comment on dinners and celebrations Heath hosted, including meals inspired by Indian and South American cuisine, birthday celebrations, and Christmas gatherings. Several entries indicate that Heath invited servicemen to join the celebrations in support of their service during World War II. Several black and white photographs are also included.
BIOGRAPHY
Sara Heath, daughter of Martin D. Heath and Margaret E. Heath, was born in Kansas on April 1, 1887. She graduated from Occidental College in 1910 and worked as a high school teacher. In 1941, she purchased a house at 623 North Sycamore Avenue in Los Angeles, California. She died December 4, 1972, in Los Angeles.
