BIOGRAPHY

Children's fashion designer Marguerite Moschard was the daughter of Henri and Martha (Hentzi) Moschard. She graduated from high school in Waltham, Massachusetts, and attended the Massachusetts School of Art. In March 1928, Moschard became pregnant and married Lewis George Wroe. In late June, she broke the news to her mother and arrangements were made for her to spend the next few months with acquaintances in South Hanson, Massachusetts. Moschard's son, Robert, was born in October and was cared for by a couple in Dover, Massachusetts. He was later brought up in his father's family. Moschard had a successful career as a children's fashion designer in New York City. She traveled widely, visiting Switzerland, Mexico, and French Guiana. She died of cancer in 1986.
