BIOGRAPHY
Reproductive choice activist Frances Kissling, daughter of Thomas and Florence Romanski, was born Frances Romanski, in New York City, New York. She served as president of Catholics for Choice from 1982 to 2007. Since 2012, she has been president of Center for Health, Ethics and Social Policy and since 2014, she has been an instructor in reproductive health ethics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She served as founding president of the National Abortion Federation and is co-founder and board member of the Global Fund for Women. She is a frequent contributor to publications including The Nation and The Huffington Post and co-authored Rosie: The Investigation of a Wrongful Death with Ellen Frankfort.
