.42 linear feet ((1 file box) plus 12 folders of negatives)Collection consists of 16 contact sheets, 20 8x10 work prints, 40 5x7 work prints, and approximately 728 negatives primarily documenting women's marches, rallies, and conferences in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Also included are articles about the events; fliers; conference programs and related materials; a draft of an article on the Crittendon-Hastings House and the history of women's health in Boston; and buttons with slogans in support of women's health and safety.
BIOGRAPHY
Judith "Judi" Kelemen received a BFA in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and pursued graduate studies in mass communications at Emerson College. In the late 1970s and early 1980s she worked as a photojournalist in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, photographing marches, rallies, and other events focused on community and women's issues, including Gay Pride and Take Back the Night marches. Since 1983, she has worked in media production and has produced a number of documentaries.
