The papers of Frances Brooks Colcord contain correspondence, much of which is letters are from Colcord to her parents, Morgan and Sophronia Herrick Brooks, and her sister-in-law, Eleanor Stabler Brooks (Radcliffe College, Class of 1914).

BIOGRAPHY

A graduate of Radclifffe College (AB 1914), Frances Brooks Colcord worked as a statistician in the War Department (1917-1919), for General Motors Corporation (1919-1921), at the Russell Sage Foundation (1927-1929), and at the Karlsten Statistical Laboratory in New Haven, Connecticut (1927-1929). She married Lincoln Colcord, an author and editor, in 1929, and moved to Searsport, Maine.

The papers of Frances Brooks Colcord were given to the Schlesinger Library her niece, Margaret Brooks Morse, in June 1993.
