BIOGRAPHY
Shirley Sarah Bloomstone Angrist was born on December 15, 1933, to William Bloomstone and Pessl (Zlatis) Bloomstone in Montréal, Quebec. Shirley S. Angrist graduated from McGill University (B.A. 1954, M.A. 1955) and The Ohio State University (Ph.D. 1960). She married Stanley Wolff Angrist on February 6, 1955; they had three children. Shirley S. Angrist was an Associate Professor of Sociology in the School of Urban and Public Affairs at Carnegie Mellon University. Shirley S. Angrist worked for PPG Industries, Inc. (formerly the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company) from 1978 to 1992. Shirley S. Angrist and husband Stanley Wolff Angrist live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
