One notebook contains not only class notes but Mark's personal reflections, goals, and questions about life after graduation. Folders are arranged alphabetically.

BIOGRAPHY

Jessica L. Mark Welch, daughter of Joan and Reverend Edward Mark, was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she attended public schools. In 1989, she earned a BA in biology from Harvard College and in 2001, she received a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from Harvard University. Between 2001 and 2009, she received postdoctoral training at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Mark served as a research assistant at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, DC (1989-1990), an assistant research scientist at the Josephine Bay Paul Center for Comparative Molecular Biology and Evolution, Marine Biological Laboratory, in Woods Hole, Massachusetts (2009-2015), and in 2015 she was appointed associate research scientist at the Josephine Bay Paul Center for Comparative Molecular Biology and Evolution.
