Collection includes three family photographs, including one of Angeline Williams; deeds and other financial records; re: Francis Williams's headstone; letter from daughter Jennie to her husband George Bardwell re: Christmas; genealogical information. The second folder contains two diaries describing Angeline Williams's daily activities including cooking, cleaning, and other chores; expenses.

BIOGRAPHY

Nancy Angeline Hosley Williams was born on December 4, 1835, to Theron Hosley and Orilla (Scott) Hosley, in Gill, Massachusetts. Angeline Williams married Francis Williams on January 1, 1850, in Vernon, Vermont. They had four children: Mary Jane "Jennie" (Williams) Bardwell (1850-1954), Celia Etta (Williams) LeVitre (born 1855), Minnie Orilla Williams (1859-1869), and Edwin Theron Williams (1865-1933). Francis Williams was a stonemason; he died in 1883, after an accident. Angeline Williams died on June 13, 1906.

The papers of Angeline Williams were acquired by the Schlesinger Library from De Wolfe and Wood in 1996.
