Collection consists of a baby book (Baby's Life, published by Barse and Hopkins, 1913) which includes handwritten entries detailing Mack's birth, her many firsts including laugh, word, and steps at eleven months old. Also included is a family tree containing the names of her maternal and paternal great-grandparents, and photographs documenting Mack's childhood and family. Collection also contains Mack's report cards for third through seventh grade, and a clipping announcing her high school membership of the National Honor Society.

BIOGRAPHY

Grace Lathrop Mack, the daughter of Roberta S. Mack and Joseph Lathrop Mack, was born in Rockmart, Georgia on January 19, 1915. She attended elementary and junior high school in Michigan City, Indiana. She married Herbert Fischer in Chicago, Illinois on January 29, 1949. Mack died in 1999.
