The papers of Lisa Garcia Quiroz consist of awards, certificates, articles about Quiroz, photographs and photograph albums, a childhood scrapbook, printed materials, and travel journals. The collection documents Quiroz's early years as a student and her professional life as a magazine publisher, primarily through materials about or collected by Quiroz, including awards and certificates, articles and photographs. The collection also contains a few items created by Quiroz including journals and photographs from her travels to Asia, Europe, and Latin America, and a scrapbook containing her drawings and artworks while a student at St. Theresa grammar school.

Prior to the collection's arrival the Schlesinger Library, Noreen McLeary organized the materials and sorted some items into labeled envelopes. The archivist retained most of these original titles created by McLeary. Any folder titles created by the archivist appear in brackets. Arrangement of the collection is loosely chronological with photographs listed at the end of the inventory.

Most of the photographs in this collection are or will be digitized and available online.
