Biographical / Historical

James Jackson Minot, 1852-1938, AB, 1874, Harvard College, Cambridge, Massachusetts; MD, 1878, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts was a physician at the Boston Dispensary from 1880-1889. Minot also served as a visiting physician to the Carney Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts and as a physician to the Out-patient Department of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Minot specialized in the prevention and care of tuberculosis and was a founder of the Boston Tuberculosis Association.
