Scope and Contents
These folders contain charts and diagrams illustrating the growth and development of Harvard University in such areas as endowments, income, professors and instructors, students, expenditures, courses of instruction, and the elective system. Additional charts describe the growth of various schools and departments of the College, noting increases in teachers, students, equipment, courses, and hours of instruction. Also included are two awards presented to Harvard University “for contributing to the worth and dignity of academic institutions” from the World’s Columbian Commission for two exhibits entitled,Students’ Work in Applied Science Schools and Students’ Work and Professional and Graduate Schools, Equipment, Course of Study, and Students’ Work.
