Subject: The Inambari River was explored by the engineers Cesar A. Cipriani and Fernando Carbajal, who traveled in 1901 from its headwaters to its junction with the Madre de Dios. The expedition was one of four authorized in 1901 by Peru's Junta de Vias Fluviales to survey rivers for their economic potential.
