.83 linear feet (2 file boxes)Collection consists of 64 DVDs of reunions, conferences, and award ceremonies sponsored by the Veteran Feminists of America; also included are photographs, programs, etc.
Leaders and activists, in their own words, reminisce about their experiences personally, in the company of sister/fellow feminists. Veteran Feminists of America made this historic treasure possible by presenting more than 25 major feminist events throughout the United States and videotaping them for posterity.
The Veteran Feminists of America's web site is being captured periodically as part of Harvard University Library's Web Archive Collection service (WAX); searchable archived versions of the web site will be available through this finding aid in 2010.
HISTORY
Veteran Feminists of America was founded in 1992 to celebrate and document the achievements of the modern American feminist movement.

This collection of DVDs of reunions, conferences, and awards ceremonies were transferred from original videotapes onto DVDs with funding from the Schlesinger Library and acquired by the Library in July 2007. Also included are photographs, programs, etc.
