Speeches and articles on employment of married women, Inter-American Commission of Women, and political speeches. Two drafts of Woman at Work, autobiography of Mary Anderson, as told to Mary Winslow and correspondence re its publication. Also reports of International Labor Organization Conference of American States, Havana, 1939.

Folder numbers were altered in April 2007.

BIOGRAPHY

Social worker (New York School of Social Work), May N. Winslow worked for the Women's Bureau of the United States Department of Labor for ten years beginning during World War I, writing studies on women in industry and the effects of labor legislation on women's employment. She was then an officer of the National Women's Trade Union League, and United States representative on the Inter-American Commission on Women (1939-1944), also serving as adviser on women’s organizations to Nelson A. Rockefeller, Co-ordinator of Inter-American Affairs.
