The papers are divided into two series: Series I is mainly correspondence about the exhibit and lists of women scientists, with some newsclippings, financial records, etc. Series II consists of publications which made up the exhibit: articles by women doing research in astronomy, biology, geology, chemistry, physics and the medical sciences. These are filed alphabetically, by the name of the author. In cases where the publications were returned, the scientist is listed alphabetically but in parentheses.

HISTORY

The Women In Science Exhibit was held July-September 26, 1936 in connection with Harvard's Tercentenary. Anna E. Holman was the chairman of the organizing committee.
