These papers contain records of meetings and correspondence covering the work of the Sentinels in the fields of maternity care, education, old age assistance, and social security. By far the largest part of the collection pertains to the activities of the Sentinels in opposition to the Child Labor Amendments, 1924 thru 1939.

BIOGRAPHY

Alexander Lincoln, lawyer of Boston, Massachusetts, was President, 1927-1936, of the Sentinels of the Republic, a nation-wide organization opposing federal encroachment on the rights of the States and of the individual.
