The papers of Margaret Kleinert contain biographical material; articles by Kleinert; correspondence, clippings, and other materials articles documenting women in medicine; and correspondence, clippings, printed material, and other materials relating to the New England Hospital for Women and Children, American Medical Women's Association, and the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania.

BIOGRAPHY

Margaret Noyes Kleinert was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1879. She received her MD from Woman's Medical College in Pennsylvania (1903) and was a postgraduate at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. She opened a private practice in Boston, and was involved in numerous professional organizations.
