This collection consists primarily of E. Buckner Kirk Hollingsworth's professional correspondence relating to the writing and publishing of her two books, Flower Chronicles (Rutgers University Press, 1958) and Her Garden Was Her Delight (MacMillan Company, 1962). Also included are correspondence relating to the researching and writing of numerous articles dealing with horticulture; correspondence relating to Hollingsworth's service with the American Red Cross overseas during the years 1918-1919; correspondence between Hollingsworth's sister, Mary Kirk, and her mother; and material relating to Wallis Warfield Simpson.

BIOGRAPHY

E. (Edith) Buckner Kirk Hollingsworth wrote on horticulture. Her sister, Mary (Kirk) Raffray married the former husband of Wallis Warfield Simpson, who married the Duke of Windsor (formerly King Edward VIII of Great Britain).
