BIOGRAPHY
Edith T. Garfield, psychologist, received her AB from Vassar in 1922 and her EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1944. She ran the Hubbard Nursery School 1927-1937 and then joined the staff of the Boston Floating Hospital in 1947 as Clinical Psychologist and served as Mental Health Consultant 1953-1966. She worked with the Boston Floating Hospital to introduce new concepts of health care for the hospitalized child, in the schoolroom and in the ward. She assisted with the Family Participation Unit at the Boston Floating Hospital, and wrote articles and lectured about the Boston Floating Hospital's procedures and methods of child care.
