It is organized under the following headings: African American women; Conservative women; Gay/Lesbian women, General (by title or organization); Government, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and Quasi-official; International; Popular press; Special issues on women (published by magazines not usually focusing on women or women's concerns); Violence against women; Women and religion; Women and work; Women's centers (mostly academic); Women's health; Oversized publications.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Periodicals were removed from various manuscript collections. Additional periodicals were purchased from Waiting for Godot Books, 2004.
