A collection of papers, court filings, newspaper articles, and letters relating to the Watergate investigation collected by James S. Doyle who was the press secretary for Watergate Special Prosecutors Cox, Jaworski, and Ruth. Also included are manuscripts for Doyle's book "Not Above The Law" and papers related to the book.

24 boxes (10 linear feet)The information in this collection was collected by James Doyle who was a special assistant to Watergate Prosecutors Archibald Cox, Leon Jaworski, and Henry Ruth. The material in this collection spans the years 1973-1977. Mr. Doyle served as a special assistant from 1973-1975 and the material in this collection consists of correspondences, newspapers and newspaper clippings, magazines and magazine articles, court filings and cassettes. Included are drafts of James Doyle's book "Not Above the Law." All major events of the Watergate investigation are covered in this collection including the Saturday Night Massacre, court filings for G. Gordon Liddy and Chuck Colson, and media reaction to Richard Nixon's pardoning by Gerald Ford.
