Extent

1 cubic feet (42 folders in 4 legal half-document boxes)

Drafts of notes recording the transactions, decisions, and votes enacted at Corporation meetings, which were later re-written into the formal record book. Materials consist of loose and sewn papers, as well as some ledger books. The drafts include annotations, corrections, and deletions, which may be of interest when compared with the formal entry of the same vote found in the formal minutes. There are significant gaps in coverage in this series.

Historical note

A waste-book was a standard record-keeping document; it was a rough volume in which entries were made of all transactions at the time of their occurrence to be posted later into the more formal books.
