Extent
1 linear feet (5 boxes)Collection formed by a private collector of 504 sheets of marbled papers, with a few paste papers, created by approximately 30 artists from numerous geographical locations, all from the 20th century. Most papers date from the late 1980s and the 1990s. Techniques and designs include Spanish marbling, veining, tiger-eyes, French snails, Japanese suminagashi, and peacocks.
Biographical / Historical
This collection was assembled over a period of thirty years by a private collector who stopped collecting around 2005. Most of the papers were acquired directly from the artists, and most of these are the first papers from a new series of marbled papers, the first one out of the bath with the best colors.

Finding aid arranged alphabetically by marbler; folders within collection are in no order though each contains the work of only one marbler.
