Includes: Sales records, stock lists, and legal documents of the Real Free Press ; the personal and professional papers of R. Olaf Stoop ; drawings, sketches and hand-drawn signs by friends of R. Olaf Stoop and artists published by Real Free Press. ; comics and Real Free Press records at various stages of printing ; and works published or re-sold by Real Free Press.

Biographical / Historical

The Real Free Press (1965-1980) was an underground comix publisher in Amsterdam co-founded by R. Olaf Stoop and Martin Beumer. Real Free Press was the first underground commix distributer in Europe.

Arrangement

The collection has been arranged into the following series: I. Real Free Press records ; II. R. Olaf Stoop papers ; III. Drawings, sketches and comics ; IV. Publishing process materials ; V. Published Works ; VI. Compositions ; VII. Postcards, ephemera and realia ; VIII. Store and office signs.
