Includes extensive correspondence with Empson's family, friends, and colleagues as well as research material on Empson and his circle; and audio tapes of interviews and recordings of Empson and others.
Biographical / Historical
Sir William Empson (1906-1984) was an English literary critic and poet. John Haffenden wrote a biography of Empson and edited Empson's poetry, prose, and correspondence.
