Biographical / Historical
Thomas Lanier Williams III (1911-1983), who published as Tennessee Williams, has often been called America's most prominent playwright. He was also a prolific author of essays, poetry, and short stories.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
No accession number. Donor unknown. This group of Tennessee Williams materials was formed in December 2009 from materials found after all other groups of William's materials were fully cataloged. It is possible that some of these materials had been previously removed from other accessions.
