2 linear feet (4 boxes)Chiefly correspondence concerning Nichols' editorial and proofreading work, together with family correspondence and family meal books, 1866-1877, recording the names of those attending each meal. There is a long series of letters from Charles Sumner, whose collected works were edited and seen through the press by Nichols. Other papers include proof sheets and manuscripts of poems by various authors.
