Includes autograph manuscript essay Heine and the monkey's skin and three autograph manuscript drafts of the National hymn for July 4, 1896 by Higginson.

Biographical / Historical

Higginson was an American author, Unitarian minister and leading abolitionist. Channing was an American historian who taught at Harvard (1883-1929).
