Consists of 93 letters, 1950-1961, from Hemingway to Harvey Breit together with a copy of "Fragments from Ernst von Hemingstein's Journal," a telephone interview conducted by Breit in 1954, and two letters from Mary Hemingway. Hemingway's letters are full of discussions of writers and their books, baseball, and boxing.

Ernest Hemingway was an American novelist and short story writer. Harvey Breit (1909-1968) was an American author and columnist for the New York Times Book Review.
