1 linear feet (2 boxes)Letters written to Mary Ward and John Sayre Crawley primarily from Dame Sybil Thorndike, Madeleine Carroll, Todd Duncan, Daniel Frohman, Julie Harris, Eva La Gallienne, Rolle Peters, Edward Hugh Sothern, Margaret Webster, and other various correspondents. Letters from Thorndike address such topics as personal finance, family news, summer activities, travel plans to the United States, the Playhouse Theater in London, and the Old Vic Theater in London. Letters from others are thank you notes for gifts received from the Crawley's, letters about casting the Crawleys in play productions, Christmas cards, postcards, and photographs.
