2 linear feet (11 volumes and 1 box)Includes manuscripts of the novels Taken at the Flood and The Story of Barbara ; notebooks of prose and poetry and on Greek literature, and 17th and 18th century subjects; a pen drawing of murder scene from Lady Audley's Secret ; and a notebook containing review s of Garibaldi and Other Poems (1861).
Also includes an autograph manuscript photocopy of a journal for 1881 and an autograph manuscript photocopy of a journal and notebook for 1888 [originals owned by descendant of Braddon/Maxwell].
