Contains printed and mimeographed documents issued by the Second International, including reports, ca. 1904-1906, of the Secretariat from Camille Huysmans, correspondence of Vladimir Ilich Lenin, memoranda, circulars, manifestos of the International Socialist Bureau, resolutions, clippings and pamphlets.

Biographical / Historical

The Second International was founded at a congress in Paris in1889. It was a loose federation of national socialist parties and trade unions and influenced the European labor movement until the beginning of World War I.
