Biographical / Historical

Henry James was an American novelist, short story writer, critic and dramatist. George Prothero was a professor, editor, and publisher, and he and James were neighbors in Rye. His wife was Lady Margaret (Fanny) Butcher Prothero, also a friend of Henry James.
